I started at the Sand Hill River. The ice is breaking around the river. The name of my canoe is Wemmbu. My canoe will hopefully end at the Hudson Bay. It is the middle of winter. When I went into the river I started sliding on the ice and I almost fell in the water. Then I hit a rock and got stuck. A rabbit hit me free but I slid into a hole in the ice where I stayed for many months. Now it was spring and all the ice was broken. I was going along the river and saw some fish. One hit me. Then there was a sign that said Beltrami. There were some deer by the sign they were drinking water. It was exciting because people picked me up and brought me to their house. They painted me red and gave me a sail. I got placed back in the river. Soon I made it to Climax. As I go through the river I see some frogs and frog eggs. Then in the distance I could hear a football game. I made it to the Red River. Its summer and its really hot but the river cools me down. Ive floated through the Sand Hill River Beltrami Climax and now Im in the Red River. I think Im almost to Grand Forks. Ive been going up the Red River for a long time. I think I see a sign. But I cant see what it says. I think it says Grand Forks Its getting a little bit colder it might be turning to fall. The leaves are starting to fall off the trees. Theres a lot of big buildings. Im still going up the red riverIm at the Pembina border. I will continue my journey to Canada My journey has been going for 2 years. It is now winter again. A bear tried getting to me and I almost got eaten. Then I made it to Winnipeg. While sliding down the ice the ice started melting and made holes. I fell in a hole but then it all melted away and I made it to lake Winnipeg. Now it's spring and Im going through lake Winnipeg. I've been in this river for a long time because now it's fall again. I see a sign that says Nelson River. Ive been in the river for a long time now. Its winter again and Im sliding on the ice. I saw some squirrels getting food. I finally made it to Hudson Bay. Its been five years. The journey was fun but it took a long time to finish. I ended up at Hudson Bay My journey is not over I will just keep floating away.
