It was summer and I threw my canoe into the Sheyenne River. It floated for a long time and then a fisherman saw the canoe and took it home. He read directions on the canoe that told him to put the canoe back in the water. The next day he watched it float away into the Red River. It made its way to Lake Winnipeg and then to the Hudson Bay.
