A boy made a canoe out of birch bark. He launched the canoe from the shore line in Duluth. He watched the canoe float away. The canoe went under the Aerial lift bridge.The canoe then floated further into Lake Superior. Insects like butterflies and bees flew by him. The canoe looked up along the shore. Birds were in the trees and a fish jumped out of the water and waved high with its fin. As the canoe floated along it saw a lighthouse and small island. A girl in a speed boat stopped next to the canoe. She then got onto the canoe. And paddled around and together they got lost. They were scared but a loon showed them their way back to the speed and they spent the rest of the day riding the speed boat.
