I was thrown into the river my first adventure as a hand made canoe the breeze was cool and the sun was shining. As I went down the river dancing beautifully through the crystal clear water. Without warning I start seeing different types of animals along the way like the white tailed deer black bear with her cubs a moose standing mighty and tall gray wolves hunting with its pack and the lynx with its scary scream. After a long journey the canoe finally made it to lake superior it took around 2 months but it was worth it. I arrived just as the sun was setting on Gitchigami Lake superior. It was the most dazzling sunset ever. On the next day as I was making my way around Lake Superior I smelt something familiar it turned out to be one of our four medicines a cedar tree. As I was about to continue my journey a little girl around 5 years old approached me and she picked me up gently. She said Boozho jiimaan which translates to hello canoe and brought me back to her village which was filled with wigwams. The little girl held me up with pride as she showed her family what she had found. I stayed with her all winter we became inseparable until it reached the end of winter when everything changed a huge storm came and flooded the village still until this day I have no idea what happened to that little girl and the village the end.
