My canoes name is Penny because shes a small little canoe. I hope she makes it to the Atlantic Ocean. She was set off in the Red River in East Grand Forks Minnesota. When Penny was set off it was a pretty windy day. It was so windy someone almost dropped her in the river she almost was set off upside down Penny was scared when that happened. She started her journey pretty smoothly. The only thing that happened was a little mud got in Penny she was fine and later washed it off. After that happened she got stuck in some rocks but some minnows pushed her out. When they got her out there was a minnow that got stuck inside of Penny. Penny was trying to turn so the minnow wouldn't die. She did it It looked like the minnow was happy too She got on a piece of ice where people were ice skating. A little boy didnt see her and ran her over. The boy said he was sorry. He asked his dad if he could fix her up so wood doesnt get in the river. The dad said Yes They were so nice they even got her a new paint job she looked brand new When they were all finished they put her on a part where the ice had melted. After that she was smooth sailing for about two years until a girl saw her and picked her up but I guess the little boys dad missed a spot where wood was sticking out and the girl got a splinter. She dropped Penny really hard and made a huge crack in Penny. The mom got some glue to fix her up. The girl reminded her that the glue needed to be waterproof. Then they glued her together and put her back in the river. She got stuck in rocks sometimes someone or something would always pull her out. Like one time a bear was looking for fish and thought Penny was one she wasnt. The bear spit her out and continued looking for fish. Once Penny saw a beautiful sight. There were a lot of birds flying over the trees. It looked like a dream. Next she saw two canoes stuck in rocks they had their names painted on themselves. It looked like Sunny and Piggly Wiggly. They were running into each other Penny wanted to help them but the current was too strong She couldnt turn back Finally Penny made it to the Atlantic Ocean A family found her and looked on the website. They couldnt believe she made it all the way from the Red River.
