Canoe #26RD0591
My canoes name is Piggly Wiggly. The reason why I named her Piggly Wiggly is because I like pigs and the way their tails wiggle. She started her exciting adventure in the Red River of East Grand Forks Minnesota. She will hopefully get to Hudson Bay. It was always her dream to go there. Her journey started on a late spring day. It was cloudy and kind of windy. The wind blew her away right away. Then she slowly drifted off into a pond. On her way to the pond she saw clouds green leaves and trees. That day she only traveled one mile. Then she looked up and saw the moon for the first time. When she woke up the next day she was in a birds nest. Somehow she stayed in the nest for a week without being pecked at. Then the bird accidently bumped her and made her fall out of the tree. Piggly Wiggly hit some rocks when she fell and she chipped herself. The next day there was a horrible storm pushing her five miles into a nearby farm. Piggly Wiggly went into a field of corn. It was so dark in the field that the sun wasnt even shining through the corn. She stayed in the field for three days. Then the farms young son saw her while he was playing in the field of corn. Then the little boy picked her up and brought her to his dad. The next day the dad realized that Piggly Wiggly was really chipped. So the dad fixed her up. Then the very next day the dad put her back in a river. Piggly Wiggly realized the water was really dirty. She thought that she was getting dirty but then it started to rain and she saw that the water was clear. So she thought that she wasnt getting dirty. The next week she realized that the river was higher than it usually is. She thought to herself about how far she thinks that shes traveled and she guessed 30 miles but it was really 130 miles. The next day she saw a fisherman and when he went to cast his rod he somehow hooked her. He reeled his rod in and he said Well thats an interesting fish. Never seen that before. Then he realized that she wasnt a fish. He threw her back in the river. When she went back in the water she went under water for a split second and she saw lots of fish. But then she popped back up. Then it was night time. She woke up in a beavers dam. She looked around while still stuck in the dam. She saw some plants. She was thinking about how much deer she saw and about the fox she had seen but forgotten about. Somehow she stayed in the dam for a week. She thought about if she would be friends with the beaver that would add to the dam everyday. Then the week turned into a month. Next the beaver grabbed her and threw her out of the dam. Then she traveled 30 miles just because of the throw. Piggly Wiggly hit a rock and flew up high in the air. A bear caught her in its mouth because the bear thought she was a flying fish but she wasnt. The bear still didnt know it. Then the bear brought her to his cave. The bear wasnt hungry he was just saving up food. Piggly Wiggly stayed in the cave for over two months. Before the bear got to eat her it started to rain and Piggly Wiggly was being lifted by the water and was moved in the Nelson River that went into Hudson Bay. She had finally made it there. The End
