Were here at the Sandhill River getting ready to launch. Its a beautiful day outside. The suns shining and the birds are chirping. My goal is to make it to the Atlantic Ocean.I got thrown into the water. Just then a 42 inch Northern Pike swam under me. It was a really nice one. It was chasing a Smallmouth Bass. The northern caught it and gobbled it up. I was now in Climax. There were some kids swimming in the river and one tried to catch me but he was a slowpoke and the current also added to my speed. Summer is now turning into autumn and the leaves are starting to fall to the ground in shades of brown yellow and red. Winter came quickly and the river was beginning to freeze. Im almost one year old. Im now in Lake Winnipeg. Huge cargo ships are coming by me and making big waves that are sometimes flipping me over. Its already my second winter and Im in the Nelson River. A boy and his dad were going ice fishing and the boy picked me up and took me into his house where I stayed for the rest of the winter listening to his stories of hunting and fishing adventures. Its spring and the boy is just about to let me go. Im now at the end of the Nelson River. Im almost at the end of my journey. And here I am in Hudson Bay flowing with the current into the Atlantic Ocean.
