Hello My name is Rozzy. I was tossed in the Sandhill River in spring. I am going to paddle to the sea. The river was slow. There were so many birds singing lovely songs. That is when a huge shadow lurked above me by just putting one paw in the water He tousled me all around. Suddenly such a strange name was called Waylon Waylon The beast ran away. I was excited to journey on. But I know the beast wont be gone for long. In summertime the Red River was packed with people swimming but only two people picked me up. Their names were Emmy and Ellie. Emmy's favorite color was purple so she slathered purple paint on one side of me. On the other hand Ellie's favorite color was black so she put black paint on the other side of me.They kept me until fall and then set me off. But before they did they put their names at the bottom LOVE EMMY AND ELLIE. It was fall and I was in Lake Winnipeg. It was calm but something was swimming nearby. It looked huge. It picked me up and it swung me around like a toy. It chipped my paint and scuffed up Emmy and Ellie's names. What read LOVE EMMY AND ELLIE now read LO E E M Y N LL E. The beast set me free only to be found the next day. A girl named Kate repainted me gold and rewrote my words so it said LOVE EMMY ELLIE AND KATE. Kate put me in the river 3 days later and it began to snow. And in the distance you could hear Kate call out Bye Rozzy and good luck paddling to the sea.It was winter and I was in Hudson Bay. I was so close I tasted the salty water. Then the beast came back and swooped me out of the water. He walked me over to a pile of snow and let me down. When I thought all was lost Emmy came back and picked me up and set me on the icy river. She gave me a push. I slid across the icy lake iceskating to the sea. The next morning I felt cold while the ice moved slowly.The ice was still moving slowly. Suddenly it tipped into another ice chunk. It wedged me between the two pieces of ice. When I thought I was going to get crushed for sure someone was in the distance It was Kate She came back. Kate picked me out of the water and kept me until April. Kate dropped me in the water with a big splash. I will remember you forever Kate said. Bye Kate I said.The next morning the air was fresher and the water was cleaner. I know I have made it to the ocean. I think I am going to be here for a while. From a dog and a beaver to sharks and a few fish whats the difference
