My canoe's name is Timothee Shalamay shimmy yah shimmy yay. It will be launched in May 2026 from the Red River and its final destination I hope will be China. I hope it sees willow trees at night while sphinx moths and cecropia moths will rest on it while currents sweep him down the river enjoying the sights of Fargo. In the morning it will flip over and enjoy the sight of a school of angel fish swimming. While it is flipped upside down a giant water bug will be caught by a child with a net as it will struggle the child will squeal and accidentally drop the net into the bank of the red river the beetle will leap onto the backside of timothee and scurry into the safety of water. The choke cherry trees along the bank will sway as the harsh spring wind whips the branches. Fields of sugarbeets and wheat will sparkle with pesticide and the spots without infested with small green dots of bugs aphids. As night passes the yellow warbler will scream a mating call the sea bass will swim to the shadows in reply. Finally timothee will cross East Grand Forks and a bald eagle will fly overhead suddenly dropping its prey a millipede onto Timothee. Just as Timothee goes to Walsh county a mourning dove will crash into the boat trying to get the millipede Timothee will get swept into the rapids and will meet the bank. The millipede scuttles into the bank getting away from the dove in slow success as the dove has headed over to the mud. Pecking for the diplopoda it will fail squawk and flap away. As Timothee goes to Pembina county close to the Canadian border it will be quiet still Timothee will realize its been 2 years on this journey. Timothee will finally cross to Canada although the celebration will not last long since a football fish will swim up from behind and knock Timothee out of the water he will tumble helplessly and land on the patch of grass. A kind tour guide in Winnipeg will pick him up the season after and take him on a ride on her range rover she will take him to see polar bears and muskrats he will be dumped out into the Lake Winnipeg. And will drift down the Nelson River. Finally after 3 years Timothee will be in Hudson Bay. He will find his way along the islands and go into the Arctic Ocean. He will make it to Alaska months later from there he struggles in the Bering strait going upside down and bobbing through tough waves. He will reach the Solomon islands then the east China Sea. He will go along the coast and reach Shanghai. He will finally reach Shanghai. And that will be the end of Timothee Shalamay Shimmy Yah Shimmy Yays 9 year journey.
