My canoes name is Ketupat Princess 1. I have many hopes and dreams for my canoe once I launch it. I hope it will someday reach Australia by traveling through the Red River into Canada and all the way to Hudson Bay. When I launch Ketupat Princess 1 into the Red River in Fargo North Dakota it will start floating north. It will pass through Wahpeton Fargo and Grand Forks. As it travels it will go through Cass County and Clay county and continue into Canada. Along the way it will pass farms growing corn wild rice soybeans sugar beets and wheat. While floating down the river it will see many animals. It might see snowy owls flying above a Canada goose swimming nearby and mussels in the water. It will also see fish such as walleye goldeye and northern pike swimming along with it. Along the riverbanks it will pass by American elm trees and maple trees. Birds like pigeons and bald eagles might fly overhead and watch the canoe as it travels. As it keeps going north it will reach Winnipeg Manitoba in Canada. It will travel through Lake Winnipeg and then flow into the Nelson River. In the winter it might get stuck in the ice but when the ice melts it will start moving again. Finally it will reach Hudson Bay. There it will see beluga whales swimming in the cold water and snowy owls flying over the frozen land. After that it will travel into the Arctic Ocean and begin a long journey across the world. It will travel east across the Arctic Ocean and pass near Greenland and Iceland. Then it will move into the Atlantic Ocean. It could travel near South Georgia Island where it might see penguins and seals. After a very long journey across the oceans my canoe will finally reach Australia When it gets there I hope it will see coral reefs tropical fish and starfish. I hope that Ketupat Princess 1 safely makes it to Australia without running out of wood by May 2040.
