Canoe 26RD1395

The canoe was entitled Timmytuffknuckles was pushing itself down the clear and shining river. I stood at the bridge's edge and was watching as my creation tumbled over rocks and fishes and was out of sight. A sudden wave of anguish struck me and I knew it was gone but I wished I could still see it. I then thought in a series of thoughts what might happen. I hoped it would see a Manitoba Maple and a Racoon in Fort Abercrombie. Goldeneyes were common down the road it pondered me that one might appear but I could never be sure. I knew the river by heart as well and knew it would pass chokeberries and Id seen a snapping turtle from time to time so it might not be uncommon. By then it wouldve arrived yonder at Grand Forks where rat carcasses would float feet down and would be swallowed to rot. But I didnt know I couldnt have known that it would be picked up soggy as his name and would be rotting in an old cabin filled with an old couple who found it coiled at shores edge. Unaware I imagined what would happen at Walsh. Fuzzy soybeans would lay pulled down towards the rock along with the beans case that was empty. Bass and Carp could bite at it as dumb as the fishing rods that would never teach them. Down at Pembina ducks and geese would fly above soaring over everybody and yet the boat that lay still dead and caught in the warm cabin of the couple. It would then go to Eddy county and then as it passed Canada I imagined a killer whale lurking beneath the depths. By now though the old man picked it up and pushed it to the sea with his wifes picture plastered on with white leaves. And as it floated on the leaves falling one by one I knew I would see it again down in Lake Winnipeg that would flow to Nelson and then to Hudson Bay . After arriving down to the Atlantic it would rise up to the Indian Ocean and up more to the East Chinese Sea and only then would it arrive in North Korea.
