My canoes name is Scuba. I have many hopes and dreams for my canoe once I launch it. I hope it will someday reach India by way of Hudson Bay. When I launch Scuba into the Red River from Fargo I hope it will enjoy a smooth adventurefilled ride on a hot sunny day in May of 2026. Hopefully it can travel along the muddy wooded banks of the Red as it passes the Oak Grove football field with a maple tree just waiting to be cut down. Along the way I hope we see blue Jays flying above us in the Nelsons river as one swoops down and scoops up some wheat for its babies. Later as it passes by Winnipeg I hope I get a chance to see an oak tree which drops acorns on the front of it and makes it wobble a little as it enters lake winnipeg. As it goes down Lake Winnipeg it sees a possum fighting a goose. By the next spring I hope we get wet from the rain and a Golden eagle joins us because we looked lonely and tells us its name is Egatha the eagle. Hopefully as it flows along then nelson river as it passes Norman and the golden eagle starts telling me stories that have happened there since it used to live there and gets so carried away in the conversation that they don't realize that they were in Walsh by that time till they see a moose that starts running at it till the current picks up and it splashes along Hudson bay where a squirrel is struggling to get down an acorn that is stuck in the tree which falls on its head. Then within six weeks I hope it reaches Grand Forks and we come across a rainbow fish and a bass play fighting in the river flow which scares Egatha who flies away without a goodbye. Along the way to Hudson Bay hopefully we see a beautiful sunset which makes us stop for a couple minutes to admire then quickly gets back on its path as it's greeted by a nice little catfish who seemed to have lost its mom who we helped find and eventually get back to flowing down the river. By the time I graduate from Oak Grove I hope it ends up in India and hopefully lives its life learning about India as it explores many adventures with a best friend he found at a cafe.
