My canoes name is Orange Juice. I hope that Orange Juice ends up in Hudson Bay. It will be launched in May of 2026 in Fargo. As it floats down the Red River Orange Juice will see a large oak tree and a bald eagle making a nest. It will exit Cass County and continue to flow down the river. Orange Juice will then see a farmer angrily trying to fix his broken tractor in a field of wheat. The farmer who will be very annoyed because he couldnt fix the tractor will aggressively throw the tool he was using to try and fix the tractor into the river. The tool will land next to Orange Juice in the water and splash it. A week after that a catfish will carefully swim by Orange Juice and a duck will waddle by and fall into the river. A few miles outside of Grand Forks Orange Juice will see two racoons fighting over a stick. Orange Juice will sail peacefully through Grand Forks and Grand Forks County within the next week or so. Next Orange Juice will see many tall thin birch trees and a deer drinking from a stream. A short woman will be hiding in the bushes about 20 feet away photographing the deer. By September 2026 I hope Orange Juice will make it to the Canada border. After it reaches Canada it will sail by the town of Emerson. Two weeks after passing the Canada border Orange Juice will see a very large bear trying to catch a salmon fish. The salmon will swiftly swim away and the bear will growl in frustration. The bear will then see some cod fish swimming after the salmon and will try to catch them but will not be successful. Orange Juice will float down the river for one more month and then sail through the city of Winnipeg. After another two weeks Orange Juice will then sail into Lake Winnipeg and it will meet more fish. Once it has floated through Lake Winnipeg Orange Juice will travel down the Nelson River for a few weeks. It will see huge moose confidently trotting alongside the river. Finally Orange Juice will reach Hudson Bay. It will sail aimlessly around Hudson Bay until the spring of 2028 and it will get caught between some rocks near the shore. A little girl drinking a cup of orange juice will come pick up the canoe and bring it back to her mother. There will be so much algae on Orange Juice that neither the little girl nor her mother will be able to read the words on the canoe that say Put me back in the water. So they will keep Orange Juice on a shelf in their small cabin. Around eighty years later the little girls grandson finally cleans up the canoe and reads the words on the canoe that say Put me back in the water. He will put Orange Juice back into the water and wave childishly as the canoe sails off back into Hudson Bay.
