My canoe's name is The Dancing Queen . I have many hopes and dreams for my canoe once I launch it. I hope it will someday reach Europe by way of Hudson Bay. When I launch The Dancing Queen into the Red River from Fargo I hope it will enjoy the warm sun in May of 2026. I really hope it has a safe journey to Europe. It will start in Fargo and travel along the Red River to Cass County. While on the river I want it to see a baby white tailed deer hopping along in the trees. A little while later a graceful dove flying through the blue cloudless sky. Underneath the dove is a tall oak tree swaying in the wind. Just a little bit later I hope a catfish will jump out of the water splashing a nearby turtle. Then it will have a peaceful ride for a bit gliding down the river in the warm sun. Suddenly I hope a bass comes out from right under the little canoe The bass will gracefully come down but not The Dancing Queen I hope it flies up and does a front flip before plopping back into the water Next it will pass by sugar beats as it floats through Grand Forks. Then a turkey will be gobbling along under an elm tree. It will pass through Kittson County even closer to its destination I hope it will then reach Canada which is right before its next checkpoint Emerson. After a break from the animal craziness I hope it sees a small red fox creeping through the grass. I hope it looks down and sees a school of salmon swimming down below. Then it will realize it just reached Lake Winnipeg It is almost to Europe While still in high hopes of being there soon it will see a blue jay singing a toon. Soon I hope it passes the Nelson River. Then it's in Hudson Bay Next stop Europe I plan for it to exit through the Hudson Strait stay there for 3 days and then get to the Atlantic Ocean through the Labrador Sea. The Atlantic will lead it through a calm ride to its final stop only 8 months later.
