My canoe's name is The River Dude. I have many hopes and dreams for my canoe once I launch it. I hope it will someday reach Hudson Bay. When I launch The River Dude into the Red River from Fargo I hope it will enjoy a smooth and relaxing ride in May of 2026. As The River Dude starts its journey it will come across some deer while entering Clay County. A couple days later it will see a bald eagle fly over a red maple tree. Unfortunately the River Dude gets trapped in some trees that fell over. A while later it fortunately gets unstuck from the fallen trees. While getting close to Norman County The River Dude will get his attention grabbed by some corn blowing gently in the wind. After exiting Norman County it will be bumped by a walleye. A week later it will see a group of northern pikes swimming by him. The river dude will see a bunny in Grand Forks. A couple of bumpy days later it will see some crappies swimming under him. Later it will come across some southern live oak trees. Finally it will enter Canada and see some turtles resting on fallen trees. While getting close to Morris it will see some bats flying in the night sky. After exiting Morris the currents start getting faster and bumpy. Days later The River Dude will enter Winnipeg. The currents finally calmed down and The River Dude will have a relaxing couple of days. A week later it will enter the one and only Lake Winnipeg. Then a couple weeks later after a long journey in the Lake it encountered a fox drinking the water while entering Nelson River. Days later The River Dude finally made it to Hudson Bay. The River Dude will now go wherever the current takes him.
