Hi I am a canoe and my name is Miles. I plan to start sailing in the Tongue River and end in Hudson Bay. I hope it will be a wild ride. I think it will be fun to explore the Tongue river Pembina river Red River Lake Winnipeg Nelson River and the Hudson Bay. I hope I will meet some kind helpers along the way especially cool animals and helpful peopleIn the Tongue River it will be a calm ride like a lazy river. But at the end of the Tongue River I will run into a huge thunder storm and it will throw me onto land in Acra. Then when I tried to fall asleep and that is wear I met a raccoon and he said his name was Billy. Just after that I saw an American elm Green ash trees. Then I saw a very curious Fox Squirrel. Then I tried to fall asleep for a nice rest. When I woke up and I realized that somehow I was just about to go over a waterfall but then I got stuck in some sea weed. Then I realized I had already passed through Cavalier I was in the Pembina River coming up on Pembina Just after I got into Pembina I came across some kids fishing and one of them caught me on their lure He reeled me in and said how did you get her little guy. He started to look at me and saw that my name was Miles and what pictures my owner drew he also saw the sign that said Put Me Back In The Water. He took a picture of me and tossed me back in the water. When I was on my way a small frog hopped on for a ride. After that I saw an Iron Wood and an Aspen tree. After that it was a quiet ride for a few minutes then a Chanel Catfish tried to swallow me whole Luckily I hit a fast current so the catfish missed. I was pretty tired after that so I decided to take a rest. When I woke up I was already in the Red River and in about an hour I was going to run into Emerson On my way to Emerson I saw some breathtaking sights. Turkey Vultures a Bald Eagle Chokecherry Bushes and Bitter Sweet trees. What an awesome ride. When I arrived at Emerson a Short Nose Gar tried to gobble me up. The gar spit me out right away because he realised that I tasted terrible he gave me a couple of scars from his teeth but I am fine. After that I felt like it should be night but it was only lunch time. I was just minding my own business when a Paddlefish slapped me high into the air and I came down with a splash. I looked around and realized I was only about 20 minutes away from Winnipeg. When Winnipeg was in sight and I saw a humongous Smooth Softshell Turtle it must have been 5 feet across Now finally it was time to go to sleep. I am glad it is time to go to sleep because I am exhausted. When I woke up I was not even one forth of the way through the city because it is SO big. The water was getting choppy and then I realized that I was going to go over a small waterfall. I told myself to prepare for the fall but I was so scared to do it I was hoping it was just a bad dream. Well it was not this is happening I have to prepare myself here we go 3 ... .2 ... .1 we are going over ahhh. That was scary. I hope that does not happen again. Holy cow that was so scary my heart is racing. I am glad that is over. I looked ahead and I saw a fishing boat that was pretty cool. They had fishing poles lures line and so much more Now I thought I would be at least half way though the city but I was still only three tenths through the city. I looked to the shore and I saw an American Cranberry bush a Box Elder tree. I was getting tired so I took a rest. When I woke up I was already three fourths of the way through the city I must have slept a long time because I was three fourths through the city. I felt something on my back and there was a crayfish on my back I noticed that I was moving faster and surely I was moving way faster than I was moving. I could see the country so I was finally out of Winnipeg. It was a really fast ride.I thought I would make it to Hudson Bay tomorrow. I was tired so I went to sleep. When I woke up I was an hour to Hudson Bay. I was so excited to reach my destination. My owner would be so proud of me. Hudson Bay was only ten minutes away. I could finally see my destination this is so exciting. I was finally in the Hudson Bay I could see a polar bear and Artick Hears it was so cool I also saw a black spruce and a spruce bug trees. I am so excited that I reached my destination. That was such a fun adventure. I really hope that my owner finds out that I made my journey
