Hi I'm Cannon the Canoe ready to get launched into the Tongue River West of Cavalier I'm on a bus right now next to my owner in Cavalier. She sets me in the water gently. I see my owner smile. I am decorated nicely. I love the way I look. I float away with all the other canoes at Icelandic State Park flowing down the river fast. I noticed a beaver building a dam from a box elder tree since it's early spring. I see a racoon examining a choke cherry then eating it. I ran into a rock but luckily a kid and his dad were fishing and got me back on the stream up ahead I entered the Pembina River.I'm now in Pembina. I noticed a bald eagle flying over a wild turkey.The bald eagle scared me but luckily it was chasing its prey. I pass by a bittersweet vine and it is beautiful. I see some people walking around trees. I see a green ash tree.I notice the Red River coming up in Emerson. I notice some kids playing in the woods and they start giggling and screaming as they see some shrews and a mink run away. I see the kids run past a woodbine vine as some birds were picking at the berries. The kids climb up an ironwood tree and the girl with a brown messy bun climbs the highest. It starts thundering and raining hard and I get washed up onshore days pass and I'm still there. On a Saturday morning I see a couple come down to see the water. They notice me and read the bottom of me and see the Put back in water please and they do. I get to keep going on my journey.I see Winnipeg and enter Lake Winnipeg. My owner learned about Lake Winnipeg while designing me. I see a river otter as I enter the Lake. I see a squirrel stuffing its face with nuts. It was really cute and funny. I notice cranberries on the ground some crushed some unripe and others ripe and juicy. My owner hates cranberries a lot. I found out that when she was designing me. As I passed an American Elm I noticed another squirrel this time it was holding two baby squirrels.I noticed The Hudson Bay and get excited. This is where my owner dreamed of me going I'm in Churchill and notice a mama black bear and two of her cubs. Weasels pass by me on the side. I get scared for a second but they pass by without trouble. I find them cute and so does my owner. I get stuck in moss while admiring the Black Spruce trees. Luckily I get unstuck due to the stream helping me and flow freely in the Hudson Bay along some other canoes. My colors have started to wear away due to the water. As I flow through the water I notice two other canoes passing by me. They belong to a couple of my owners' friends. One of them is missing a chunk of wood similar to mine but mines at the end of me from the log. I bump into one of them and get sent to a different direction. I start panicking because I notice a teenage boy and a little girl there fishing with their father. The teenager reels me in on accident and gives me to the little girl. The girl smiles and shows her dad. Her dad starts telling her to put me back because of what it says at the bottom of me. She frowns and her brother puts me back in the right direction. It starts raining hard and they pack up and leave. The other two canoes float away fast and I go a different way. The rain has me swinging around fast. It was terrifyingMonths passed by and most things have been going smoothly so far. Ive seen different animals and their cubs. I've got to learn about so many new things and see beautiful things in nature. I even saw a wedding happen on the shore. The girl said no it was VERY interesting. But my journey has come to an end for now. My owner's dream came true and so did mine. It took me one year eight months two weeks and three days to reach my destination. I made it.
