A Dream For My Canoe My canoes name is Bubbles. Come with bubbles on her 2 year journey all the way to Hudson Bay and into the Atlantic Ocean. Bubbles is on the windy Wild rice river in Ulen MN. She is riding the current very fast and stops. In front of bubbles is a ginormous beaver dam There is a mom a dad and a cute little kit. The big chubby beaver picks up Bubbles and is about to chew her up Until a human snatches her away from the beaver. The human is a little boy about 5 or 6 years old. He is wearing light blue jeans and a green tshirt. The boy is running to his little house just up on the hill by the river. Mom Guess what I found said the little boy. What is it Norman said the mother. I found a little boat by the river said the little boy.You should go put it back in the river so it can continue on its journey said the mother. Okay. The little boy put bubbles farther up the river so the beavers would not eat her. Bubbles was on the river for about 6 months now. In front of her was a bright light she looked up it was the most beautiful sunset she had ever seen. Until about ten minutes later a storm rolled in. BOOM BOOM CRASH BANG The rain was down pouring very very hard CRASH BOOM Again and again the rain was pouring hard It was hailing now Bubbles could not fall asleep She was terrified The river was rising Higher and higher the river rose The current was very fast Bubbles was riding the river very quickly Then after about an hour the storm was long gone. Bubbles was so relieved. The sun was rising and it was very very pretty. There was a very pretty morning mist. Bubbles swam over to the sign in front of her and read Welcome to Fargo Moorhead in big bold letters. She kept on her journey down the river and saw a lot of kids playing in the river. A little girl swam over and picked up Bubbles and said look what I found What is it said another girl. Its a mini canoe. Cool It says that its on its way to Hudson Bay. Please put me back in the water. Then the little girl put her back in the water farther up the river so she could get to Hudson Bay faster. Its not summer anymore it's fall and the leaves are falling all over the place. There are orangeyellow and red leaves all over the place It is a little chilly this morning. The water is cooling down. Bubbles has been on his journey for almost a year now. Wait a minute is it snowing Its snowing Its snowing Brrrr It is really chilly now. Then I see it Its the Canadian border Hooray Hooray I am half way done with my journey. Time has passed and it has now been a year and a half. There are moosedeergeese and swans. So many animals to see I also see and hear a bunch of birds migrating to the south for the winter. I hear children laughing and playing in the snow and kids making snow angels and snowmen. The river is very windy right now. The river is freezing and there is a small sheet of ice on the river. CRACK A big trout jumps out of the river breaking through the ice SLASH SPLASH There is another then anotherI am still on my journey until a little girl grabs me and. CRASH The little girl fell through the ice and tries to stay up but she can't. She is sinking and is still holding bubbles in her hand. The fireman finally arrive and get the little girl to safety but she has hypothermia so she needs to get warm fast so she does not die. After the ice melted away from the river the little girl gently placed bubbles back in the Wild Rice River. Bubbles was off. She was slowly riding the current and saw a lot of geese and mallards. Caw A giant eagle flew out of the sky and clenched bubbles in her talons. Chirp Chirp In front of bubbles were three little eaglets. The eagle is a mother and was just trying to feed her eaglets. The mother eagle thought that the canoe was a fish. Thankfully a worm had got caught in the little canoe so the eagle took the worm gave it to her chicks and threw bubbles out of the nest and into the river. Then in front of bubbles eyes was a sign. It read Welcome to Hudson Bay Hooray Bubbles made it to Hudson Bay Hooray She was floating on the lake and pretty soon she reached the Atlantic ocean there was a beautiful sunset Pink orange yellow blue all the colors were mixed together Whoa A big sea turtle named splash lifted me up on my back and we floated off into the sunset.
