A nice spring day in Mahnomen Minnesota behind the casino. I placed my canoe in the Wild Rice River to start its journey. I saw some deer drinking by some minnows at the edge of the river . The river gets wider and I come into a town . I saw some kids fishing and they tried to pull me in with their rods but somehow one kid hooked me and pulled me in but they couldn't get the lure out so they cut the line. I got out of the town as the river connects to a bigger river . When I get around the corner I see a few turtles on a log. When it turns almost night I go through a big town where I see a kayaker. The person writes grand forks north dakota on the side .I started going under water.But then I realized I have a fish on and I keep getting dragged under water and it pulled me all the way out of town . I see a log coming up then I get caught on it the fish gets off.I know im not too far from Winnipeg then I see a moose fighting on shore.someone finds me and writes Winnipeg on the bottom of me then i get put back in the water . I realize the colors keep changing from light green to dark brown . Then finally the river starts to open up into Lake Winnipeg my final destination.
