Canoe 26RD1443
Early in the morning a tall nonchalant child threw a canoe in a river. It was behind the shooting star casino in Mahomen. It was early spring and the canoe named Jasper the almighty was curious. He was curious why he had been thrown and did not want to go anywhere. But he was mostly curious about his owner and why he would ever throw out something so valuable. Jasper had made it though he did not want to and was going to the ocean but in his journey an owl mistook him for food and picked him up. Jasper wasn't afraid he was still pondering on the fact the boy threw him. But once the owl found out he wasn't food he dropped him. Jasper hit the ground hard he was stuck on a tree branch. The next morning 2 fishermen spotted him a tall muscular man and a small man. The little man insisted they should keep the canoe but the other man paid no attention to him and chucked Jasper back in the water. The tall man walked away. The little man thought he was being selfish but still went with him. Jasper wondered why couldn't the boy had wanted him as much as this tiny man did. Jasper wanted answers so he would try and get his way back to the boy but he had no idea where he was and it was getting cold and was about to be winter. Jasper was scared of being alone in the cold then suddenly a raccoon had grabbed him and brought him underground with her babies. He enjoyed their company and spent the winter with them. Once it became spring it rained hard and was filling up the holes so he and the raccoons went out. He was separated from them. The river had taken him again. He had no idea where he was and again he was alone and scared. He had forgotten all about looking for his owner and just wanted to be with the raccoons again. They were the only ones who cared about him in his whole life and all he wanted to do was be with them. He thought about his owner he thought about how he was made and why. But his break was very short he was headed for a waterfall. He started to panic but he could not fight against the current and he braced.. He hit the water almost hitting a rock that would have snapped him in half. Most of his paint was gone and he was carved from the sides. His little canoe could barely even float and stay upright. But when he turned around he saw a beautiful rainbow under the waterfall. But he also saw 2 shadows behind the waterfall. There were 2 kids playing behind it. There was a little cave behind the waterfall hidden. Jasper thought it was cool but he was still dumbfounded about the rainbow and the waterfall's beauty. Once he was far enough away from the waterfall he started to wonder what happened to the raccoons. After a week of drifting in a lake some fishermen picked him up. It was the 2 fishermen he saw before. This time the tall fishermen would keep him. He brought him home and put him on a shelf and every time he would fish he would bring the canoe along with him. This went on for 8 years and the canoe felt happy. He enjoyed fishing with the man. It was calming but also exciting. But the man grew noticeably old and started growing white hairs. The man knew this and one afternoon while they were fishing the man drifted the canoe in the water down the stream. The canoe watched as the old man went away. He was alone again. Then something picked him up. He turned and saw a man he did not know bring him to his house. He hung him on the wall and as Jasper turned he saw more canoes just like him.
