Paddle to the Sea
Hi, I am paddle to the sea
And I was launched in the Sand Hill River.
I see deer fighting,
fish jumping out of the water,
moose drinking out of the river.
I made it to the Red River.
It was summer and I was really hot.
I see frogs jumping around on the riverbank of the Red River.
Then I reached the fork between Grand Forks and East Grand Forks.
I hear the blue jays singing.
It is autumn and leaves are fluttering down like butterflies.
By the time I reach Lake Winnipeg I am cold and there is a fox running on the shore.
I was so close to getting run over by a boat.
Then it was winter and I was stuck in the ice.
I finally made it to Hudson Bay in the spring.
A fish tried to eat me like a shark devouring its prey.
Then it tipped me over.
A man picked me up and put me back in the water.
I finally made it to the ocean.
