Turtle the canoe will travel up the Red River and see many fish. He will travel along side boats and other canoes. Then Turtle will reach the U.S/Canadian border. While he is traveling through the border, a kind worker sees him. She picks Turtle up and takes the painted canoe to her office. ‘’ What a lovely canoe ,’’ the woman says kindly. ‘’Surly she is traveling somewhere. Before the woman goes home she sees a sign on the canoe that asks her to put him back in the water so she puts him in his truck and brings him to the other side of the Canadian border. The woman puts Turtle in the water and leaves. Turtle goes up the river and through streams. Along the way he sees otters, beavers, foxes, deer and moose. Soon she arrives at his destination, Hudson Bay. |
